Shake off the winter chill on the fully paved North Oconee Greenway. Starting and ending right at the Nature Center, this timed community race features age-group awards and post-race snacks, with all proceeds directly benefiting future campus projects.
Bird Seed Sale Fundraiser

​Keep your backyard wildlife well-fed while directly supporting our educational programs. High-quality bird seed goes on sale online in mid-October, with local pickups arranged for the end of the month. Free local delivery is proudly available for senior citizens and neighbors with special needs.
Jack-O'-Lantern Jog 5K & Goblin 1-Mile Fun Run

A beloved, family-friendly fall tradition. This costume-friendly event lets you burn off some seasonal treats while racing along a USATF-certified, Peachtree Road Race qualifying course. Young runners in the Goblin Fun Run receive an official finisher's medal and a seasonal goodie

A Legacy of Celebration
Our community impact is rooted in deep shared experiences. During our landmark 50th anniversary milestones, local friends contributed over $50,000 to our permanent Endowment Fund. We also established the Sandy Creek Nature Center Oral History Collection at the UGA Hargrett Library, featuring extensive interviews with the foundational figures of our movement. We look forward to carrying this momentum forward as we build towards the next 50 years of conservation.
